Moving Out Of Storage

Moving out of a storage is always a bit easier than moving out of an apartment or home. This is mainly due to the fact that all of the items in your storage should already be packed and wrapped. When you contact a Dallas moving company to help you with your move, make sure that you let them know that you will be moving out of a storage unit. As soon as you let the Dallas movers know this, they will ask you how many storage units you have and what they are.

1. Know the size of your storage unit.
The size of your storage unit will tell the Dallas moving services providers a lot about how much stuff you have. It is important that you know the exact size of each storage unit since you do not want the Dallas movers to send out the wrong moving truck. If you are not honest about the size of your storage unit and the number of units, then you may end up paying more in the end. If the moving truck that is sent out is too small, then various trips will have to be made and this will take much longer than if you had gotten a bigger moving truck and crew.

2. Know how full your storage unit is.
Whatever the size of your storage unit, it will make a great difference if it is overflowing with stuff or if it is only half way full. It is important to let your Dallas movers know exactly how full your storage unit is since this will also play a major role on what moving truck size your will need and the number of movers you will need. Moreover, this information will also give the Dallas movers an idea of how many trips your move will require. When there are several storage units that are extremely full, you will require at least 2 to 3 trips for your move. If this is the case, then it is best that you know up front how many trips your move will take rather than be surprised at the last minute.

3. Make sure that you have access to your storage unit.
If you have not opened your storage unit in a while, then you will want to check it a couple of days before your move to know that you still have the keys to it. You will not want your Dallas moving company to wait while you try to get access to your storage unit since this will count as part of the running time for your move.
